Platinum Albums to Diamond Singles

Singles

XXXtentacion's singles as for all albums lead to anticipation for albums. Releasing his first hit "Look at Me!" on January 29, 2016 he gained a large following. With an already stable fan base off of songs he released before this his fame grew. Peaking at number 34 on the billboard it was now XXXtentacions biggest song. Eventually being certified platinum by selling over one-million units. But this wasn't it using his strong fan base and new wave he created he pushed himself releasing singles for his new album "17" and eventually singles for his album "?". Releasing for his album "17" two singles that both went 2x platinum " Jocelyn Flores" and "F*** Love". Then for the album "?" the single "Sad!" went 7x platinum and went diamond meaning it went platinum 10x selling over 10 million copies a huge accomplishment. Also two other songs, "Changes" went 2x platinum and "Moonlight" went 5x platinum. Huge accomplishments for an artist with only two albums. Showing how strong his fan base is and how talented he was.

Albums

XXXtentacion released 2 albums during his lifetime. Named "17", and Named "?""?" with each album bringing more fame and attention to him. XXXtentacion pushed his own boundaries releasing his debut album "17" released on August 25, 2017. Described as, "A collection of nightmares, thoughts, and real-life situations i've lived" in "the explanation" of his album. Many fans were surprised by the soft sad tone with guitars and light melodies. Coming from harder hitting songs he took a full 180 and challenged himself and what others believed of him. Backed with no record label to promote or increase popularity of "17" it debuted at number 2 on the billboard 200. A large accomplishment making his mark on the music industry. The album eventually went platinum two months after his untimely death. Meaning that the album had sold 1 million copies. His second album during his lifetime named "?" released on March 16, 2018 leading another push for his career. Making it to number 1 on the billboard 200 and eventually being certified platinum. His two albums during his lifetime accomplished many goals. Eventually signing a $10 million record deal with "Empire".

XXXtentacion's label released two posthumous albums. His third album "Skins" was released December 7th, 2018. Marking his second number 1 album, Skins was composed of old songs and songs recorded before his death. The fourth album and second posthumous album "Bad Vibes Forever" was released by his record label December 6th, 2019. Once again composed of songs that were very old or unfinished. Debuting at number 5 on charts it was described as underwhelming. Although with XXXtentacions strong fan base many enjoyed every single album for what it was. With many features as well many fans were excited bringing anticipation for the album. Kanye West, Lil Wayne, And partners from "Members Only" such as Craig Xen were on these albums. Fulfilling XXXtentacion's goals of getting songs with stars such as Kanye although he was not here for it.
